The success of Synergy draws from the individual skill, dedication and passion of our highly talented project managers, estimators, boilermakers, welders, riggers and labourers.

Our management team brings together knowledge from their diverse backgrounds and industry experience to manage the challenges of each project and deliver high quality service to our clients. The Synergy team share the common ethos that we can work together with our clients in close collaboration and we strive to build a business based on that ideal.

JOEL ANDONOPOULOS
| Director

Joel brings close to 15 years of experience in many sectors of Construction including Commercial, Residential and Industrial Projects to the Synergy Team. Joel’s key focus for the business is to deliver a high-quality product that both Synergy and our clients can be proud of.

Joel has a Bachelor of Construction Management.

DON DENNIS
| Financial Controller

Don joined the Steelworks team in February 2023, bringing with him experience in hands-on roles across the manufacturing, infrastructure, transportation and communication industries.

He is an experienced senior manager with high-level expertise in advanced financial planning and strategic commercial management. He has a strong background in system implementation, cost-control, business consolidation and corporate reporting.

Don holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting, Finance & Systems), CPA certification and Master of Business Administration.

Leana ANDONOPOULOS
| Estimating & Pre-Construction Manager

Leana has been working in the construction industry as part of the Synergy team since 2015.

Since beginning her career as an estimator, Leana has gained extensive knowledge all facets involved in the delivery of structural steel and metalwork projects.

She has brought to Synergy an analytical and detail oriented approach to our estimating department that has led to the procurement of successful projects coupled with a high level of service to our valued clients.

Leana holds a Bachelor of Science.

KATHY WRIGHT
| HSEQ Manager

Kathy joined the Synergy team in October 2021 with over 14 years of experience in safety, health and environmental roles in the construction industry with a focus on construction material testing, geotechnical and environmental engineering, drilling operations and utility location services.

She takes a proactive approach to work health and safety and is passionate about educating and empowering others.

Kathy holds a Certificate IV in Work Health and Safety, Return to Work Coordinator Certificate and is an accredited Mental Health First Aider.

LIANNA MAYBURY
| Human Resources Manager

Lianna joined the Synergy Group team in January 2022 and has worked in generalist Human Resources roles across the tourism and construction sectors.

She has a passion for building high-performing teams and takes a balanced approach to people and culture initiatives across the organisation.

Lianna holds a Bachelor of Business (Human Resource Management), Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting) and Master of Human Resources and Law. She is also an accredited Mental Health First Aider.

REDMOND ROSS
| Installation Manager

Redmond joined Synergy Group in 2021, bringing with him significant experience working in the oil and energy industry.

His trade background in fabrication and experience working on oil rigs and construction sites in rural and remote locations, allows Redmond to understand the needs of our clients.

He is a skilled leader who is passionate about driving business performance and helping his team reach their potential.

Redmond holds a Certificate III in Engineering (Fabrication).

MAURICE BARKER
| Production Manager

Maurice joined Synergy Group in August 2018 in a workshop leadership role and moved into a Production Manager role in 2022.

He is an experienced tradesperson with over 20 years of experience in various trade and supervisory roles within the metal fabrication industry in Australia and the UK.

Maurice holds a Fabrication Trade Certificate.

ADAM BOYD
| Project Manager

Adam has over 20 years of experience in the metal fabrication industry and has been in a project management role for the last 10 years.

He has experience in a wide range of projects, including general fabrication, mining, bridges, walkways, water reservoir refurbishments and rail.

Adam holds a Certificate IV in Structural Design.

CRIS EATON
| Project Manager

Cris joined the Synergy Group team in November 2022 with a background in the mining, defence and aerospace industries.

Initially starting his career on the tools, Cris soon found his passion in drafting where he spent 13 years as a Design Draftsperson. This experience allowed Cris to naturally transition to project management as he could easily understand the end-to-end project lifecycle, ensuring projects run smoothly and meet the goals of our clients.

Cris holds a Diploma of Project Management & Management, Diploma of Mechanical Engineering and Certificate III in Drafting Trades & Detail Drafting Concepts.

LACHLAN SWAN
| Project Coordinator

Lachlan joined the Synergy Group team in October 2022 with a background in retail, welding and store fit outs.

Lachlan holds a Certificate I in Engineering and is in his final year of a Bachelor of Construction Management (Honours).

DENIS SOTO
| Estimator

Denis earned his degree in Mechanical Engineering in 2004 and has since had a wealth of experience in many facets of engineering including project management, estimating and drafting. Denis has worked as an estimator on large structural steel projects and enjoys the challenge of preparing accurate and competitive estimates. Denis brings to Synergy his extensive experience in the steel sector along with a willingness to take on new and exciting projects as a part of the Synergy team.

CHAYDE DRAPER
| Workshop Coordinator

Chayde joined the Synergy Group team in October 2016 as a Boilermaker and moved into a workshop leadership role in 2022.

Chayde has a Certificate IV in Engineering and a Certificate III in Engineering.
